About The Position

Our patients are our number one priority! We're committed to giving children back their childhood! This position involves supervising food service operations for patients, ensuring timely and accurate formula preparation and delivery. The supervisor will also conduct patient satisfaction audits, manage room service operations using computer programs, handle patient calls with excellent customer service, and ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards, including HACCP. The role may also require assisting with other room service worker duties as needed.

Requirements

Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college with a major in food management.
Registered Dietitian or Dietetics Technician, Registered with Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics or 3 years food service experience required.
Must be a State of Texas Food Service Manager within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Mix formula based on ordered recipe and ensure correct formula is delivered to patients on time.
Supervise room service worker positions and assist with duties if staffing levels are insufficient.
Conduct meal rounds and audits on room service staff to evaluate patient satisfaction and implement changes.
Utilize computer programs for coordinating room service for the inpatient population and update changes.
Answer telephone calls from patients requesting meals, handle calls with high customer service, and document on each patient at meal periods.
Document and meet with room service staff on a regular basis.
Monitor department areas for compliance with TDH food safety and sanitation standards, and educate staff on HACCP standards.
Process required documents/requests for maintenance, information services, and environmental services.
Enter food selection forms for swallow studies and ensure timely tray delivery.
Complete other positions as indicated.
