About The Position

Global Partners is seeking a Food Service Supervisor, also known as a Deli Lead, to direct and supervise all activities within the deli and food service department and its personnel. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Flexibility to work weekend, holiday and/or evening shifts.
  • Ability to assist other locations as needed.
  • 2 years prior experience in a fresh food's environment, preferably in a managerial role.
  • Must have reliable transportation and an active driver's license.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to work in walk-in coolers and freezers.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, bend and twist below waist, and frequently lift and/or maneuver merchandise and supplies.
  • Ability to reach above shoulder height.
  • Dexterity with hands and fingers to use necessary equipment, including knives, slicers, burners, ovens, fryers, and rotisseries.

Responsibilities

  • Direct department personnel and communicate with store management and department supervisors to achieve department goals and objectives.
  • Select, onboard, and coach new team members.
  • Schedule all team members.
  • Provide product information, selling suggestions, and active sampling to guests.
  • Take guest orders, ensuring timely and satisfactory completion.
  • Ensure department personnel adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines and policies.
  • Order products and supplies to maintain adequate stock levels and merchandising standards.
  • Oversee the preparation, serving, and merchandising of deli/food service items, including entrees, fried foods, pizzas, salads, sandwiches, roller grill items, beverages, and snacks.
  • Display deli and food service items according to merchandising guidelines.
  • Follow product recipes without deviation.
  • Rotate deli/food service items for sale, ensuring quality, safety, and product shrink control.
  • Receive merchandise and supplies, audit invoices, break down orders, and stock products in storage areas, walk-in coolers, and freezers.
  • Periodically count product for inventory purposes.
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Process cash register transactions, including giving change and refunds.
  • Use scale printer machine, ensuring correct weights and pricing.
  • Monitor product pricing, signage, placement, and use of shelf tags.
  • Maintain clean, neat, and orderly sales counters, food prep areas, warehouse shelving, and walk-in coolers and freezers.
  • Ensure all department personnel use proper safety equipment and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as needed or assigned by management.
  • Work with various deli ingredients including meats, vegetables, fruits, spices, flavorings, sauces, and oils.
