About The Position

The Food Service Driver/Food Prep employee works for the Department of Food and Nutrition, delivering products among district schools and adapting to different school routines. Requirements

• Have a clean driving record and a current driver’s license.
• Be comfortable driving around Southbridge.
• Be able to move about the kitchen easily and quickly.
• Have sufficient language skills to understand assigned tasks.
• Frequently lift or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Be able to stand for long periods and work outside in inclement weather.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products to the various schools and adapt to different school routines.
• Assist with putting deliveries away and pick up deliveries at local stores.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the department van and fill it with gas as needed.
• Assist with meal preparation and service as time permits, following safe food-handling practices and using kitchen equipment safely.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager, Chef Manager, and Director of Food and Nutrition.
