About The Position

Oversee daily production in the Food & Nutrition operation in compliance with the local Health Department regulations. This role requires working knowledge of food service operations, cooking, sanitation, general office, and computer skills. There will be some interaction with Purchasing and the Store Room, and basic knowledge of inventory is needed. General leadership is provided to all staff covering production and sanitation. The individual must maintain a professional appearance and be able to interact with a variety of staff, vendors, and leadership teams. Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Current Serve Safe Certification
  • One year of leadership experience in a food service setting
  • Basic knowledge of inventory

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of food service operation, cooking, Sanitation, general office and computer skills
  • Some interaction with Purchasing and Store Room when necessary
  • Ability to interact with a variety of staff, vendors and leadership teams

Responsibilities

  • Daily monitor employee attendance and follow up with management; ensure all staff scheduled are in place with tools needed to complete assignments
  • Obtain sales records and patient count information as needed communicate findings with staff
  • Promote departmental growth in sales and Patient Satisfaction
  • Monitor spending, usage and portion control of food to keep budget under control: work closely with the Purchasing Agent on daily and special menu ordering
  • Provide Leadership to Lead Sanitation and Lead Cold Prep persons
  • Coordinates catering functions with catering hostess/host
  • Oversee the daily operation of the cooking staff and area
  • Ensure all patient meals are prepared and meets all dietary standards
  • Ability to direct work as needed for a smooth operation
  • Be instrumental in the interview, orientation and training of new hires
