Food Service Cook - Evenings
About The Position
Lunds & Byerlys Navarre is hiring a part-time Evening Food Service Cook to help create a positive shopping experience for customers. The role includes preparing deli recipes, assisting customers, handling deli products, maintaining merchandise quality and freshness, and keeping the department clean and welcoming. The employee is scheduled for shifts within the range of 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The store operates seven days a week, from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The position pays $17.00–$19.00 per hour; the offered rate within that range may depend on skills, knowledge, expertise, experience, and internal equity.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of cooking experience in deli or food service.
- Ability to obtain Food Safety Certification.
- Communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare chef-created deli recipes.
- Greet and assist customers.
- Slice deli meats, cheeses, and breads.
- Stock, rotate, and stage deli merchandise to ensure quality and freshness.
