About The Position

The Food Service Associate in Nutritional Services operates the restaurant point-of-sale system as a cashier, stocks restaurant supplies, sets up service areas, cleans and stocks food inventories, maintains cleanliness in public and kitchen areas, and provides customer service. The role also involves preparing and delivering customer orders, setting up and serving patient trays, transporting supplies and food, and using kitchen and dishwashing equipment.

Requirements

High school education/GED or equivalent is preferred.
Associate’s/technical degree or an equivalent combination of education and related experience is preferred.

Nice To Haves

SERV Safe certification or equivalent is preferred in California and Hawaii.

Responsibilities

Receive, prepare, and deliver customer orders efficiently.
Perform routine tasks related to preparing and serving food.
Clean kitchen areas and cooking utensils.
Operate the cash register and stock restaurant supplies as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area and promptly report equipment maintenance or repair needs.
Maintain cleaning and temperature logs.
Operate dishwashing, peeling, and other mechanical equipment.
Set up and serve patient trays.
Carry dishes and food between the kitchen and serving lines.
Transport and store supplies.
Wash and cut vegetables and fruits.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
