About The Position

The Food Service Worker performs routine daily tasks related to patient food service. Duties include assembling trays, portioning food, preparing snacks, tube feedings, and supplements, delivering floor stock and special items to hospital units, and delivering patient meal trays to patients’ rooms. The role requires completing tasks safely and in strict adherence to Food and Nutrition cleaning and sanitation policies and other related policies and procedures, while providing the highest level of customer service. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma.
A minimum of 1 year of experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assemble patient meal trays and portion food.
Prepare snacks, tube feedings, and supplements.
Deliver floor stock and special items to hospital units.
Deliver patient meal trays to patients’ rooms.
Complete tasks safely and follow Food and Nutrition cleaning and sanitation policies and other related policies and procedures.
Provide the highest level of customer service.
Perform other duties as assigned.
