About The Position

The Food Service Aide maintains general cleanliness of the entire department, including the kitchen, storage areas, public areas, and equipment. This role is crucial for ensuring a sanitary and well-organized environment within the food service department.

Requirements

• HS diploma or equivalency (required)
• Customer service oriented
• Effectively communicates with customers, clients and management.
• Able to work with minimal supervision or alone.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining general cleanliness of entire department including kitchen, storage and public areas and equipment.
• Sanitation and maintenance of dish room and dish machine. Dish and pot washing and storage.
• Proper storage and rotation of all foods and nonfoods delivered to the facility.
• Assists with patient and cafeteria meal service, set up and break down as needed.
• Responsible for the record keeping of dish machine temperatures.
• Follows management/supervisory direction to ensure smooth operation and quality control.
