Roseau Food Service Aide- Full Time
About The Position
The Food Service Aide is part of the Food & Nutrition Services Department, which provides palatable, nourishing, well-balanced diets to meet the daily nutritional and special dietary needs of patients and residents. The role includes monitoring and recording food temperatures; setting up and maintaining a clean, sanitized serving area; preparing and serving food; restocking food areas; and cleaning and sanitizing equipment in accordance with facility policies and procedures and state and federal laws and regulations. The aide provides outstanding customer service and communicates effectively with residents, patients, and co-workers. This position is based in Roseau, with a varying shift and schedule. It is listed as 32 hours per week and 0.8 FTE full time. Weekend and holiday work is every other weekend and holiday. Pay is $19.09–$22.86. Requirements

Responsibilities
- Maintains work areas to meet sanitation and safety standards.
- Transports food carts to patient/resident units as specified.
- Prepares menu items according to recipes, spreadsheets, or supervisor instructions.
- Serves cafeteria customers courteously, with accuracy in pricing and portion control.
- Assembles patient/resident meals according to diet, meal tickets, spreadsheets, and/or Kardex.
- Assists with care and maintenance of department facilities, equipment, and supplies as directed.
- Ensures food is served safely and in a timely manner.
- Follows required cleaning and temperature checklists per shift.
- Maintains proper dress code, including good personal hygiene.
- Monitors and records proper food temperatures.
- Sets up and maintains a clean, sanitized serving area; prepares and serves food items; restocks food areas; and cleans and sanitizes equipment.
- Communicates effectively with residents, patients, and co-workers.
