About The Position

Riggs Washington DC is a 181-room independent hotel in a historic building in downtown Washington, DC. Its restaurant, Café Riggs, is a European brasserie-inspired venue with a modern approach focused on sustainable products. The Food Runner supports restaurant service by welcoming guests, coordinating communication between the front and back of house, and ensuring food is served safely. The role suits someone who is personable, adaptable, calm under pressure, resourceful, efficient, and comfortable working in a fast-paced team environment. Hotel experience is not required; previous restaurant experience is preferred. The hourly rate is $10.30 plus tips. Previous restaurant experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Welcome guests in a warm, personable, sincere, and friendly manner.
Serve as a contact point between the front of house and back of house.
