About The Position

Under the direction of the Supervisor, the Food Runner assists with preparing and serving food in an assigned kitchen outlet. Duties must be performed in accordance with departmental and Seminole Casino Coconut Creek policies, practices, procedures, and service standards. The role requires knowledge of the restaurant’s seating plan, ordering and expediting systems, menu items, specifications, and specials. The Food Runner serves guests courteously and promptly, supports other line employees, and helps maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work area while complying with regulatory requirements and applicable policies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least one year of experience in a moderate-volume establishment related to food service.
• Knowledge of sanitation and quality food preparation techniques.
• Must be capable of performing the essential functions, with or without accommodation.
• Final candidates must obtain gaming licensure through a background check with Seminole Gaming Compliance and Regulations; checks may include credit and criminal background checks and a drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and serving of foods in the assigned kitchen outlet.
• Serve guests according to established service standards and deliver items promptly and courteously.
• Learn and use the restaurant seating plan, including sections, table numbers, and seat numbers.
• Be knowledgeable about restaurant ordering and expediting systems, the menu, menu specifications, and specials.
• Comply with regulatory requirements and applicable Gaming Commission, Seminole Tribe of Florida, and departmental policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within the area of responsibility.
• Assist other line employees with daily responsibilities.
