About The Position

This is a temporary position at Salty's at the Sea, located at the Seattle Airport. The role involves supporting the operation to deliver superior guest service by performing various duties. Key responsibilities include maintaining kitchen safety by promptly clearing spills, keeping the wash area clean and organized, delivering food to guests in a timely manner according to company standards, and performing general cleaning duties such as mopping and removing trash. The position also requires adherence to safe food handling and proper hygiene practices, as well as workplace safety standards for equipment operation and maintenance, reporting any malfunctions immediately. Additionally, the role involves coordinating the delivery of all food items within appropriate time standards, ensuring all food items are accounted for, and following management's instructions and suggestions. This may also include placing weekly food orders and transferring products from storage to units.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, speak and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
  • Ability to apply reasonable understanding in carrying out instructions in written, oral or diagram form.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, speak, and comprehend English, including understanding instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to effectively communicate information in one-on-one and small group situations with customers and co-workers.
  • Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

Responsibilities
