About The Position

The Fresh Market is seeking Production Specialists to support production across Deli-CMS, Meat-Seafood, Bakery, and Produce. The role is suited to team members who are detail-oriented, work well with others, prioritize guests, and are interested in working early shifts. The position pays $16.95–$19.48 per hour; the posting also lists a pay range of $18.19–$19.40 per hour. A $2.00-per-hour shift differential applies to hours worked between 12 am and 5 am.

The schedule is typically 3 am–11 am, with days off usually Sunday and Wednesday. Team members must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, days, evenings, and holidays, as store needs change. The position involves repetitive hand and arm movements, handling equipment, extended periods of standing or walking, lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds, exposure to extreme temperatures, and wearing specified head coverings and personal protective equipment.

Requirements

• Passion for providing extraordinary service.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Willingness to work a schedule of 3 am–11 am, typically with Sunday and Wednesday off.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, days, evenings, and holidays.
• Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements, grasp, bend, and reach.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds independently.
• Ability to spend long periods on one's feet and stand or walk without a break for up to four hours or as required by law.
• Ability to wear an approved hat, hair net, and/or beard guard, and personal protective equipment.
• Ability to use knives, ladders, stepstools, box cutters, pallet jacks, and other equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in the retail, restaurant, or hospitality industries.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Production Planning Software experience.

Responsibilities

• Handle production for key items supporting the Deli-CMS, Meat-Seafood, Bakery, and Produce departments.
• Maintain knowledge of products and weekly ad items throughout the store.
• Work across departments to help guests find products and complete meal solutions.
• Inspect store products for proper rotation and ensure products are ready for guests.
• Follow cleaning and sanitation procedures and complete reports as necessary.
• Follow The Fresh Market standards, policies, and protocols.
• Present oneself professionally, including adhering to uniform standards.
