About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a Food Operations Manager 1 for the United States Marine Corps at Parris Island located in Parris Island, SC. This role will be responsible for the Headquarters and Service Battalion Mess Hall, a dining facility patronized daily by permanent personnel Marines. The facility serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner seven days a week, averaging around three hundred meals fed daily. The Food Operations Manager will provide supervision for multi-functional food service areas to ensure client satisfaction and retention for the Company.

Requirements

  • Work history demonstrating strong employee engagement leadership skills
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Ability to work collaboratively
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed
  • Culinary production experience
  • Strong background in safety and sanitation compliance
  • Can manage multiple priorities
  • Demonstrate professional communication skills
  • Passion for a high level of customer service
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 2 years minimum management experience
  • 1 year minimum functional experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
