About The Position

Sodexo Senior Living is seeking a Food Operations Manager 1 for Garden Spot Village, a beautiful and growing upscale continuing care retirement community located in New Holland, Pennsylvania. This position will mainly oversee front-of-house dining operations and will assist in the kitchen. Will report to the General Manager and manage a total staff of approximately 65 hourly employees. Typical schedule will be 9:30am - 6:00pm, may vary with occasional weekend coverage and some holidays.

Requirements

• Excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working with seniors and managing people and the dining operation to make every day a better day for our clients and residents
• Two or more years of prior food service management experience
• Basic culinary knowledge
• Knowledge of safety and sanitation compliance
• The ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service
• Proficient in computer skills, POS systems and report management experience
• Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
• 2 years minimum management experience
• 1 year minimum functional experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.

Responsibilities

• Have oversight of daily operations of 3 dining rooms
• Oversee frontline staff and dining service areas
• Assist with menu printing/distribution
• Cash management / POS system
• Assist at Refresh Coffee Shop
• Achieve company and client financial targets and goals
• Develop and maintain client and customer relationships
• Create a positive environment
• Ensure Sodexo Standards are met
