About The Position

Sodexo Senior Living is seeking a Food Operations Manager 1 for Garden Spot Village, a beautiful and growing upscale continuing care retirement community located in New Holland, Pennsylvania. This position will mainly oversee front-of-house dining operations and will assist in the kitchen. Will report to the General Manager and manage a total staff of approximately 65 hourly employees. Typical schedule will be 9:30am - 6:00pm, may vary with occasional weekend coverage and some holidays.

Requirements

Excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working with seniors and managing people and the dining operation to make every day a better day for our clients and residents
Two or more years of prior food service management experience
Basic culinary knowledge
Knowledge of safety and sanitation compliance
The ability to manage multiple priorities
Demonstrate professional communication skills
A passion for a high level of customer service
Proficient in computer skills
POS systems and report management experience
Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
