About The Position

Food Operations Manager 1 – Sodexo Corporate Services is seeking a dynamic, hands-on Food Operations Manager 1 to join our team at the Broadcom campus in San Jose. This is an exciting opportunity for an emerging leader who thrives in a fast-paced café environment and is ready to take the next step in their management career. As the #2 leader on site, you will partner closely with the General Manager to deliver an exceptional dining experience while leading daily operations in a high-profile corporate café serving breakfast and lunch.

Requirements

Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
2 years minimum management experience
1 year minimum functional experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
Motivated leader who enjoys being actively involved on the floor
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Passion for team development and delivering outstanding customer service
Knowledge of inventory management, food safety, and sanitation standards

Nice To Haves

Experience in food service operations, café environments, or corporate dining preferred

Responsibilities

Support the General Manager in overseeing day-to-day café operations
Lead and mentor a front-of-house team of 3 employees
Deliver a high-quality guest experience with a focus on hospitality and service excellence
Roll up your sleeves in a hands-on environment (including light food prep and coffee service)
Manage inventory, ordering, and cost controls
Ensure accuracy in cash handling and POS operations
Maintain strict food safety, sanitation, and compliance standards
Support special projects and site initiatives as needed
