About The Position

This role is responsible for meeting or exceeding store operating policies and standards, including providing quality beverages and food products, cash handling, and ensuring store safety and security. The attendant will handle guest payments, operate the cash register, and accurately account for all transactions and cash drawers. They will engage with customers, prepare food and beverages to standard recipes, and maintain the cleanliness of food preparation areas. Responsibilities also include opening food service outlets, performing various tasks within the store, monitoring guest alcohol consumption, and interacting positively with guests and co-workers. The role involves using various food preparation equipment and ensuring the proper disposal of refuse.

Requirements

  • Must be able to sit, stand or walk for long periods of time (8 hours).
  • Must be able to maneuver throughout all areas of the property and from floor to floor either by stairways (minimum of 20 steps) or escalator.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.; and, have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop and kneel.
  • Must have the manual dexterity to operate necessary F&B equipment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Work requires schedule flexibility which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to learn quickly.
  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build relationships and work as part of a team.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • OLC, Non-Gaming License.

Nice To Haves

  • Six months previous experience in related field preferred, but not required.
  • Prior money/cash handling experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed store operating policies and standards, including providing quality beverages and food products, cash handling and store safety and security.
  • Handle payments from guests, operate cash register, and properly settle checks according to procedures and SOPs established by management.
  • Account for assigned cash drawers, all money received, and all transactions recorded during shifts.
  • Record all tips collected from credit cards.
  • Engage with and understand customers, discovering and responding to customer needs through clear and pleasant communication.
  • Prepare food and beverages to standard recipes or customize for customers.
  • Maintain and rotate dated food stock and arriving food orders.
  • Ensure cleanliness of food preparation areas by cleaning and wiping down workstation and utensils before and after each assignment.
  • Break down workstations, clean & restock.
  • Open food service outlets in a timely fashion as instructed, including the preparation, and serving of bakery, grab and go, beverage, coffee, and ice cream items, as needed.
  • Perform "station" and "side work" checks, as directed by policy and assist with administrative duties as assigned.
  • Monitor guest consumption of alcohol and intervene as needed according to guidelines.
  • Interact with guests and co-workers in a helpful, positive, upbeat, and professional manner while taking food/beverage orders, accepting payment through cash, credit, check and delivery of order to guests and/or guest table.
  • Remove and properly dispose of all refuse and debris accumulated in service stations and dining tables in accordance with department procedures.
  • Use of oven, toaster, steamer, blender, and other food preparation equipment.
