About The Position

The Food & Beverage Team Member assists with food and beverage areas at Fort Bend Epicenter, providing quality service and consistent products. The role includes customer service, register and cash-drawer tasks, food preparation and service, cleaning, dishwashing, food-temperature checks, stocking supplies, and supporting party rentals. Team members must communicate courteously with patrons and promptly alert management to specified incidents and cash-drawer mistakes or adjustments.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate positively and in a friendly manner with patrons.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and long hours; regular attendance is necessary.
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills and ability to work as a team player.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds.
• May be required to sit or stand for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience operating a cash register and balancing a cash drawer.
• One year of customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers as needed and provide outstanding customer service.
• Operate an electronic cash register and credit card machine.
• Perform basic mathematical computations.
• Balance the drawer and manage daily income.
• Communicate with the public in a tactful, polite, and friendly manner.
• Clean dining and concession areas and tables; assist in preparing and serving food items; and fill condiment containers.
• Pick up dishes, glasses, eating utensils, and trash in dining and food and beverage areas.
• Scrape and rinse dishes, load and operate the dishwasher, and wash dishes, carts, pots, pans, and equipment.
• Take and record food temperatures to ensure proper temperature controls during food transportation.
• Assist with unloading, lifting, and carrying food and supplies from trucks and storage areas, and place them in designated areas.
• Assist with party rentals, including guest check-in, party supplies, and setup.
• Immediately alert management to incidents such as suspicious behavior or intoxicated individuals.
• Immediately alert management about mistakes or adjustments to the cash drawer.
• Perform additional tasks assigned by management.
