About The Position

The Food & Beverage Supervisor helps lead the Food and Beverage operation at The Wigwam, supporting its fiduciary and quality goals and ensuring effective, efficient operations. The role is expected to improve existing processes and manage consistently with the mission, operating philosophy, standards, and values of Benchmark. The supervisor leads by example, encourages team members, and helps create a comfortable atmosphere that supports employee commitment and loyalty. The position includes communicating event information to supervised staff, sharing information about the property's capabilities and programs with other departments and clients, responding to guest and prospective-guest requests, maintaining first-class food, beverage, and service standards, and implementing cost controls. The supervisor also supports inventory, receiving, and product-utilization systems; follows productivity standards; assists with hiring and training; and helps in other Food and Beverage outlets as needed.

Requirements

Previous experience working at a restaurant in a luxury hotel and/or full-service resort.
Knowledge of Micros.
Ability to make quick decisions in high-stress situations.
Excellent customer service skills.
Pleasant and positive personality.
Well organized.

Responsibilities

Attend weekly meetings and relay information about upcoming events to supervised staff.
Provide other departments, clients, and potential clients with information about the property's capabilities and programs.
Respond to the needs and requests of guests and potential guests.
Ensure food, beverage, and service quality standards are implemented and maintained at a level commensurate with a first-class operation.
Implement effective cost controls for food, beverage, and labor.
Use inventory, receiving, and product-utilization systems to manage product cost.
Lead by following productivity standards for Food and Beverage personnel.
Create a comfortable atmosphere that encourages committed and loyal employees.
Assist with hiring and training programs for Food and Beverage personnel.
Assist in other Food and Beverage outlets as needed.
