About The Position

The Baltimore Country Club is seeking a Food & Beverage Manager/ Restaurant Manager who will be responsible for managing service for fine and casual dining and/or banquet events. The Manager will assure all dining facilities are setup and service is delivered in a manner that exemplifies gracious hospitality, our commitment to excellence and provides the best experiences for our members and their guests. The Manager will interact with members and their guests to ensure their needs are being met, receive and resolve questions and issues concerning food, beverages and service and act as a liaison between the dining room, kitchen and other departments. The Baltimore Country Club, founded in 1898, is a prestigious private club that offers its members a full range of recreational and social amenities. Requirements

  • Proven experience in successfully managing a-la-carte and banquet service.
  • Experience in scheduling and motivating staff to perform at an exceptional level.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with members, guests, Club management, and staff.
  • Knowledge of F&B software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Ability to work all shifts including weekends and evenings.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management is strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of liquor, beer, and wine is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Managing service for fine and casual dining and/or banquet events.
  • Ensuring dining facilities are set up and service is delivered exemplifying gracious hospitality and commitment to excellence.
  • Providing the best experiences for members and their guests.
  • Interacting with members and guests to ensure their needs are met.
  • Receiving and resolving questions and issues concerning food, beverages, and service.
  • Acting as a liaison between the dining room, kitchen, and other departments.
  • Supervising, training, and scheduling staff.
  • Managing and controlling expenses.
  • Securing the dining areas at the end of each service.
  • Managing and maintaining the dining room inventory.
