About The Position

Moxie Bread Co. is seeking a customer-focused Barista and Customer Service Representative to prepare coffee drinks, serve food, and create a friendly, hospitable atmosphere. Requirements

Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to stand for long periods.
Ability to think quickly and resolve guest issues in accordance with brand standards.
Excellent conflict-resolution skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
ServeSafe or Food Handler’s Certification, or willingness to obtain one.

Nice To Haves

Previous knowledge of food-service regulations.
Barista experience, including use of a manual espresso machine.

Responsibilities

Greet customers with a friendly smile and provide friendly, efficient, personal service.
Take food and drink orders and understand the menu to describe and serve menu items appropriately.
Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of coffee preparation, including specialty drinks.
Understand the ingredients in menu items, including the grains used for bread and pastries.
Enter orders accurately and efficiently into the POS system.
Clear and reset counters and tables after each guest visit.
Maintain clean work areas throughout the day and follow clean-as-you-go procedures.
