About The Position
This role is responsible for managing incoming calls, providing customer service, and verifying shipment details against relevant records. The Flow Controller will also be responsible for setting daily delivery appointments, processing incoming and outgoing shipments, and resolving any shipping or receiving issues. Adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices and company safety rules is essential. This is a Wednesday-Saturday shift from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- 3 months verifiable customer service experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Outstanding computer and data entry skills.
- Ability to effectively multi-task.
Responsibilities
- Provides customer service assistance to customers and manages incoming calls.
- Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
- Set daily delivery appointments.
- Process incoming deliveries.
- Process completed loads.
- Resolve any issues with shipping and/or receiving with internal staff.
- Files paperwork daily.
- Follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed.
- Observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate.
- Other duties as assigned.
