About The Position

Rosauers Supermarkets is hiring a Floral Manager to oversee the floral department and provide customers with a positive shopping experience. The role includes ordering and receiving flowers, plants, and greenery; preparing and displaying floral products; creating bouquets and arrangements; advising customers on floral care; and maintaining department inventory and product quality. The Floral Manager also supports and motivates staff, helps foster a productive work environment, sets and evaluates goals, and keeps up with floral industry trends. The listed pay is $21.37 per hour. Benefit eligibility may vary based on role, length of service, store location, hours worked, and applicable collective bargaining agreements.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Dedication to providing an outstanding customer experience.
• Ability to facilitate clear, concise, and positive interactions with others.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must complete a pre-employment background check.
• Knowledge of flower handling techniques.
• Familiarity with plants' nutritional needs and life spans.

Nice To Haves

• Sound knowledge of different flower types, arrangement styles, and flower conditioning.
• Completion of a botany-related course is highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Listen to customers to understand their needs and engage with them to provide a strong customer experience.
• Examine the sales floor and ensure the floral department is well-stocked.
• Order flowers, plants, and other greenery.
• Receive shipments, prepare flowers, and display floral products.
• Create bouquets and floral arrangements.
• Advise customers on the proper care and maintenance of floral arrangements.
• Maintain floral department inventory and restock as needed.
• Ensure flowers and plants are properly watered and stored to prevent wilting.
• Foster a productive working environment and motivate and inspire staff while facilitating personal growth.
• Set strategic long- and short-term goals and evaluate outcomes.
• Ensure the highest levels of quality are met.
• Stay updated with the latest trends in the floral industry.
• Perform other duties to support the overall success of the company.
