About The Position
French Florist is seeking a creative, passionate, and experienced part-time Floral Designer to create custom arrangements with flowers from around the world. The designer will work with customers to understand and fulfill their floral needs, maintain the workspace and flower inventory, and assist with receiving and preparing floral shipments. The schedule is variable, three days per week, including Fridays and Saturdays; the third workday may be Wednesday or Thursday depending on business needs. Weekend availability is required.
Requirements
- Prior experience in floral design and strong knowledge of arrangement styles and techniques.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for color and balance.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Genuine love for flowers and creativity in your work.
- Ability to stand for extended periods during a shift.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
- Frequent use of hands and arms for cutting, arranging, and wrapping flowers.
- Comfort working in cooler environments and handling buckets of water and floral supplies.
- Weekend availability, including Fridays and Saturdays.
Responsibilities
- Design and create custom floral arrangements for all occasions.
- Work directly with customers to understand and fulfill their floral needs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.
- Ensure flower inventory is properly maintained and restocked.
- Assist with unpacking and preparing floral shipments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
