About The Position

Studley's, a high-volume florist serving Rochester, NH and surrounding areas, has an immediate opportunity for a Floral Designer/Sales team member. The role creates floral designs for customer orders, provides sales and customer service, and helps maintain product merchandising. It reports to the Store Manager. The position may be full-time or part-time, scheduled for 30 to 40 hours, with workdays Monday through Saturday and required Saturday availability. Flexibility is required, and peak business periods may involve extended workdays and workweeks.

Requirements

Recent experience in a retail florist.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Ability to meet client needs efficiently and professionally.
Strong interpersonal skills, enthusiasm, and self-motivation.
Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
Availability to work Saturdays and flexibility in scheduling.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Hands-on custom floral design experience in a high-volume floral shop or design studio; the employer may train a candidate with less experience.

Responsibilities

Create floral designs using color, floral materials, vessels, and accent materials while meeting Studley's design-style and cost-of-goods criteria.
Learn Studley's basic design style and create custom designs according to established standards.
Use proper flower-handling techniques and consistently meet production standards.
Interpret clients' requests for custom designs and follow up as appropriate to ensure satisfaction.
Provide outstanding customer service, contribute to sales growth, and resolve customer questions and concerns.
Help maintain and refresh product merchandising.
Use a variety of computer programs.
