About The Position

Design and/or merchandise floral items and arrangements for display, sale, or in response to customer requests. Provide customer service and demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Requirements

Willingness to work weekends and holidays.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Confidentiality regarding associate records.
Florist Transworld Delivery certification requires three years of full-time retail design experience or six years of part-time retail design experience.
Floral Design School is equivalent to six months of full-time retail design experience.
Demonstrated aptitude for filling customer needs and designing floral arrangements.
Ability to make intelligent decisions quickly.
Ability to calmly, courteously, and tactfully handle stressful situations and make a positive impression on associates and customers.

Responsibilities

Design and create floral arrangements and/or other items to fill customer orders.
Greet customers, offer assistance, and take and fill orders.
Package orders cheerfully, effectively, safely, and efficiently.
Keep the department area clean and free from clutter.
Keep merchandise and supplies in their proper areas.
Provide good customer and associate relations.
Maintain customer records and files properly.
Assist customers in locating and selecting items.
Handle telephone calls and Florist Transworld Delivery orders promptly and courteously.
Assist in decorating and merchandising the department.
Communicate effectively with customers and associates.
Make a neat, clean impression on customers.
Be prompt, tactful, calm, courteous, and professional in all interactions.
Adhere to company policies and procedures, particularly those relating to maintaining a work environment free of unlawful harassment or discrimination.
Perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
