About The Position

Bachman’s is hiring a seasonal Floral and Gift Sales Associate at its Maplewood location. The role provides friendly, timely service to customers in the store and by phone, helps process purchases and orders, and supports plant and flower care and general store operations. Hours vary, and the schedule requires availability for nights, weekends, and holidays. Employees are expected to work at least half of the weekend days each month. Compensation is $15 per hour.

Requirements

Must be able to stand for the entire shift.
Good customer service skills; friendly, responsible, and dependable.
Ability to read and write English, perform basic computer skills, and perform basic math.
Excellent customer relations and communication skills.
High energy level.
Ability to work with a team to accomplish tasks.
Demonstrated ability to follow through on work direction.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds and bend frequently.
Must be available to work a minimum of half the weekend days each month, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
The work involves standing and walking on hard surfaces for the entire shift, working at a fast pace, and exposure to heat, cold, and wet conditions.

Responsibilities

Assist customers with purchases and orders in the store and by phone.
Process store transactions according to established procedures, including ISP and delivery orders, customer returns, and transfers.
Assist with carryout and cart retrieval.
Answer telephone calls, respond to customer questions, provide information, and process orders.
Provide accurate, timely, and friendly service to customers and potential customers.
Water and care for plants and flowers; clean, stock, and perform other assigned duties.
