About The Position

Christian Health is hiring a part-time Gift Shop Associate for its Foundation department. The associate assists with services at the de Snoep Winkel Gift Shop and demonstrates understanding of and commitment to the Christian Health Care Center’s mission. The role involves supporting gift shop operations, maintaining cleanliness and supplies, and serving customers and facility personnel. The schedule is 9:00 a.m.–5:15 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays, plus 10:00 a.m.–4:15 p.m. on the first and third Saturdays of each month (at least two Saturdays per month). The associate must also be able to work extra days three times a year for gift shop events. The hourly rate is $18.50, with a $2.00 weekend differential.

Requirements

High school diploma required.
No previous experience required.
Must demonstrate compliance with CHCC ASPIRE Standards of Performance.
Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm.
Must be willing to learn the Gift Shop’s method of merchandising.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds occasionally.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience working as a cashier is strongly desired.

Responsibilities

Perform tasks outlined on work flow sheets in a timely and high-quality manner.
Load beverage and coffee machines as required.
Operate the cash register and complete daily reconciliations.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area according to assigned workflow responsibilities.
Stack or restock food and candy supplies.
Dispose of trash and garbage and clean equipment.
Maintain the cleanliness of equipment, work areas, walls, and floors in compliance with sanitary codes.
Clean refrigerators, freezers, and other permanent equipment as required.
Empty and clean garbage cans daily.
Ensure required supplies are available and retrieve them from the storeroom as needed.
Assist with service at the de Snoep Winkel Gift Shop.
Communicate with facility staff, sponsors, departmental personnel, and de Snoep Winkel volunteers.
Work extra days three times a year for Gift Shop events.
