FLOOR TECHNICIAN (FULL TIME)
About The Position
The Floor Technician is responsible for floor maintenance and restoration and operating industrial floor care equipment. The position is based at 2022 Ashland Road, Rockville, Virginia. Employees work either a Sunday–Wednesday or Wednesday–Saturday schedule, on a day shift from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM or a night shift from 7:00 PM to 5:30 AM. During the initial site startup and construction clean phase, all team members temporarily work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, before moving to their assigned schedule. The fixed pay rate is $19.00 per hour. Previous janitorial or floor care experience is preferred but not required; training is available.
Requirements
- Knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques.
- Knowledge of and ability to follow safety procedures.
- Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.

- Previous janitorial and/or floor care experience.
- Previous experience as a floor care technician or in a related role.
Responsibilities
- Maintain knowledge of hard-surface floor maintenance principles and use proper procedures for stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
- Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment.
- Use automated equipment to clean large floor areas.
- Follow proper procedures for carpet and upholstery care, including shampooing, damp-surface cleaning, extraction, spot cleaning, and vacuuming.
- Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
