About The Position

Crothall Healthcare is hiring a full-time Floor Technician at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Floor Technician maintains and restores floor surfaces and operates industrial floor care equipment. The schedule is 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., with days varying; weekend and holiday availability is required. The fixed pay rate is $17.00 per hour. Prior floor technician or custodial experience is preferred. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. Crothall Healthcare provides specialized support services to the healthcare industry. The position involves maintaining hard-surface floors, cleaning carpet and upholstery, operating floor care machinery, and following safety procedures. The role may also include other duties assigned by the manager.

Requirements

Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques is required.
Knowledge of and ability to follow safety procedures.
Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience as a floor care technician or in a related role is preferred.
Prior floor technician or custodial experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain knowledge of hard-surface floor maintenance principles and use proper procedures for stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment.
Use automated equipment to clean large floor areas.
Follow appropriate procedures for carpet and upholstery care, including shampooing, damp-surface cleaning, extraction, spot cleaning, and vacuuming.
Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
