About The Position

The Floor Technician is responsible for floor maintenance and restoration and for operating industrial floor-care equipment. The position maintains hard-surface floors through processes such as stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing. It also involves cleaning carpets and upholstery and maintaining and restoring all types of floor surfaces. The role is based at ES Dell Children's Medical Center in Austin, Texas. The schedule is full time, Sunday through Saturday, with hours that may vary.

Requirements

Previous floor technician and EVS experience required, as stated in the posting.
Proven knowledge of floor-care equipment and techniques required.
Knowledge of and ability to follow safety procedures.
Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience as a floor-care technician or in a related role preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain hard-surface floors using appropriate procedures, including stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
Operate various types of industrial floor-care equipment.
Use automated equipment to clean large floor areas.
Clean carpets and upholstery using appropriate methods, including shampooing, damp-surface cleaning, extraction, spot cleaning, and vacuuming.
Perform maintenance and restoration processes for all floor-surface types.
Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
