About The Position

SSC Services for Education is hiring a full-time Floor Technician at Arizona State University in Phoenix, Arizona. The position is responsible for floor maintenance and restoration, including operating industrial floor-care equipment. Full-time schedules are available, with days and hours that may vary and multiple shifts offered. The employer also notes that part-time schedules may be available to meet scheduling needs. The fixed pay rate is $19.05 per hour. Prior floor-care experience is required for this opening. SSC provides training and growth opportunities and offers same-day pay.

Requirements

Prior floor-care experience is required for this opening.
Proven knowledge of floor-care equipment and techniques is required.
Knowledge of and ability to follow safety procedures.
Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience as a floor-care technician or in a related role is preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain knowledge of hard-surface floor maintenance principles and use proper procedures for stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
Operate various types of industrial floor-care equipment.
Use automated equipment to clean large floor areas.
Follow proper carpet and upholstery care procedures, including shampooing, damp-surface cleaning, extraction, spot cleaning, and vacuuming.
Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor-surface types.
Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
