Floor Technician - FT - Evening

About The Position

The Floor Technician performs various tasks to provide a clean environment for patients at Azalea Health & Rehab. The role includes scheduled floor care, cleaning and storing equipment, reporting repairs, and carrying out waste disposal procedures. The technician also supports the proper care and use of housekeeping equipment and contributes to collaborative efforts that support the organization.

Requirements

Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and speak effectively before groups of customers or associates.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to use common-sense reasoning to follow written, oral, or diagram-based instructions and address problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
Ability to meet the stated physical demands, with reasonable accommodations as applicable.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Dust, sweep, mop, buff, strip, and wax floors as scheduled by the supervisor.
Clean and store equipment at the end of each shift.
Report needed repairs.
Perform waste disposal procedures as required by the supervisor.
Assist in the proper care and use of housekeeping equipment.
Promote the image and reputation of the System through servant leadership and direct, open communication.
Contribute to committees, workgroups, project management, and other collaborative efforts.
Perform other duties as necessary to ensure the success of the System.
Communicate warmly and professionally with associates, patients, family members, and visitors; respond helpfully to concerns and answer questions when appropriate.
