About The Position

The Emergency Room Technician works in the Emergency Department at Saint Mary’s Hospital, a Level II Trauma Center, primary stroke center, and pediatric receiving facility. The department has 46 beds, including 8 emergency behavioral health beds. The role is part of a multidisciplinary team and offers opportunities to engage with unit staff, build relationships, learn about different types of nursing, and develop new skills. The position includes participation in unit shared decision-making and practice autonomy using nurse-driven protocols.

Requirements

• High school graduate.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Ability to pass drug screenings and background checks.

Nice To Haves

• 1–3 years of Emergency Services experience.
• Emergency Department experience is preferred.
