About The Position

The Emergency Room Technician is responsible for patient care and service, as well as assigned duties, under the direction of the Registered Nurse. The position is full-time nights at West Henderson Hospital, a 150-bed acute care hospital in the Valley Health System in Southern Nevada. The hospital provides emergency, cardiac, neurology, surgical, gastroenterology, imaging, laboratory, respiratory, and inpatient services.

Requirements

• Current BCLS certification is required.
• An approved Crisis Management Course is required.
• Technicians working with IVs must have successfully completed an IV course.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Successful completion of a basic cardiac arrhythmia course, or successful completion of an arrhythmia test given by the Education Department, preferred.
• Certificate of completion of a basic cardiac arrhythmia course preferred.
• Certified Phlebotomist preferred.
• IV Certification preferred.
