Emergency Room Technician FT Nights
About The Position
Saint Mary’s Hospital is seeking a full-time Emergency Room Technician for its Emergency Department, a Level II Trauma Center, primary stroke center, and pediatric receiving facility. The department has 46 beds, including 8 emergency behavioral health beds. In this role, you will work with the unit’s staff, build relationships, and learn about different types of nursing and new skill sets. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, take an active role in shared decision-making, and use practice autonomy through nurse-driven protocols. The schedule is 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Saint Mary’s Hospital is a Catholic, not-for-profit community teaching hospital in Waterbury, Connecticut, and a member of Trinity Health Of New England and Trinity Health. Requirements
- High school graduate.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Ability to pass drug screenings and background checks.
Nice To Haves
- 1–3 years of Emergency Services experience; Emergency Department experience is preferred.
