About The Position

Xanitos, Inc. is hiring a full-time Floor Technician for the second shift at Kaiser Permanente Southwood Comprehensive Medical Center in Atlanta, Georgia. The position is responsible for cleaning and maintaining floors and keeping assigned areas of a healthcare campus orderly. Duties may vary based on account needs, client requirements, and applicable industry standards. The schedule is 6:00 PM to 2:00 AM, with rotational weekends, and the hourly pay rate is $16.50. The role includes routine floor cleaning and project work using floor-cleaning equipment and assigned chemicals. Employees may also perform Area Cleaner or Waste Disposal Technician duties and other related work as required.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or equivalent.
Complete post-offer medical screening, background screening, and drug testing.
Ability to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
Ability to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
Ability to work standing for long periods.
Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
Visual abilities including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses.
Possible exposure to chemicals requiring special clothing or safety equipment.

Nice To Haves

Experience in the janitorial industry.
Experience with medical cleaning.

Responsibilities

Monitor assigned areas and corridors for cups, spills, paper, and debris.
Clean corners, edges, and baseboards in assigned areas.
Dust mop hard-floor areas, including behind doors and around movable objects.
Remove marks and scuffs from floors.
Damp mop floors using the assigned cleaning chemical or operate a scrubbing machine.
Use floor machines for assigned project work.
Burnish floors using a high-speed floor machine as directed.
Scrub and strip floors as needed or assigned.
May perform Area Cleaner duties.
May perform Waste Disposal Technician duties.
Perform related work as required.
