About The Position

The Floor Tech / Driver maintains cleanliness throughout the community using specialized equipment. The role cleans floors and other building surfaces, removes trash and recycling, sets up and moves items in community spaces and residences, and delivers residents’ belongings to and from storage, vehicles, apartments, and other areas. The position also operates housekeeping equipment and vehicles safely. The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday.

Requirements

• Hold a current and valid driver’s license.
• Be able to safely operate carpet-care equipment, hard-floor-care equipment, trash-removal equipment, and other equipment needed to maintain community cleanliness.
• Hold a current and valid D.O.T. Physical/Medical Examiner’s Certificate. Specific state regulations and requirements may apply and take precedence.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience with carpet care and floor-finishing techniques is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain hard floor surfaces through scrubbing, mopping, burnishing, stripping, buffing, and waxing.
• Maintain carpeted surfaces through extraction, interim cleaning, spotting, drying, and vacuuming.
• Clean vertical surfaces, including doors, walls, and windows.
• Remove refuse and recycling according to procedures, using compactors, trucks, and carts.
• Move and arrange furniture in community common spaces, offices, and residential apartments.
• Deliver residents’ items to and from storage, vehicles, apartments, and other areas.
• Operate housekeeping equipment and vehicles safely.
