About The Position
Provides a complete range of customer services at the financial institution, including opening business and consumer accounts and conducting customer transactions in accordance with institutional policies and procedures. Recognizes referral opportunities to the NDIP department and cross-sells the institution’s products and services. This is a floating position between the Chelsea offices and the Jackson office.
Responsibilities
- Receive checks and cash for deposit, verify amounts and endorsements, and enter deposits into computer records.
- Cash checks and process withdrawals.
- Receive mortgage, consumer, and other loan payments.
- Count coin and currency and balance the drawer at the end of the day.
- Help customers with questions or concerns regarding ATM transactions.
- Open checking, savings, time deposit, and IRA accounts.
- Redeem savings bonds and matured time certificates.
- Issue cashier’s checks.
- Prepare account paperwork, including signature cards, check orders, and wire transfers.
- Assist customers with questions and concerns.
- Support cross-selling of the financial institution’s services and identify referral opportunities to the NDIP department.
- Attend required training.
- Maintain attendance as an essential function of the role.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
