This is a float position for a Float Ultrasound Tech in the Radiology: Ultrasound department. The role requires proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment to perform general, vascular, and/or cardiac procedures. The tech will be responsible for accurately differentiating between normal and pathologic findings, reviewing patient medical records, positioning patients, and adjusting technical factors for optimal imaging. The position also involves maintaining records, identifying equipment issues, analyzing sonograms, and communicating findings to physicians. Additionally, the tech will serve as a technical resource and preceptor for students and staff, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and demonstrate knowledge of age-specific patient care. The schedule details indicate a float position with earliest shift start time of 6 am and latest end time of 7 pm. Saturday hours may vary. This position offers 8- or 10-hour shifts, except for Saturdays which are 6- or 8-hour shifts.
