This is a Per Diem Float position for Northern NJ. The role involves providing comprehensive care to patients requiring ultrasound services in an organized and systematic manner according to departmental policy and standards. The technologist will follow appropriate protocols for ultrasound studies, including biopsies and other interventional procedures if required, and assumes accountability for managing delivery of care and patient safety. The position requires producing quality diagnostic images, obtaining and documenting patient history, communicating with radiologists and verifying provider orders, and ensuring exam room cleanliness. Adherence to infection control standards, prioritization of work assignments, and patient preparation for procedures are also key responsibilities. The role also involves operating and modifying equipment, performing routine quality control checks, and reporting any equipment malfunctions.
