About The Position

As a Registered Nurse (RN), deliver compassionate, high-quality care that supports patients’ well-being and recovery. Provide individualized, comprehensive care by conducting assessments, performing skilled procedures, and implementing patient care plans. Work with an interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment focused on patient outcomes. The position is at CHI St. Anthony Hospital, a faith-based, acute-care, Level IV trauma, critical access hospital in Pendleton, Oregon.

Requirements

• Associate degree in nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Oregon.
• One year of related experience in a clinic or acute-care hospital facility.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support or Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Continuously assess patients’ health status and prioritize or reprioritize care based on assessments.
• Initiate and maintain an individual plan of care based on identified needs, assessment data, and nursing standards and practice.
• Coordinate patient discharge and transfer needs with patients, primary care providers, families, and internal and community resources.
• Prioritize, perform, and delegate direct and indirect interventions needed to stabilize trauma patients.
• Prioritize and perform interventions needed to triage patients.
• Participate in patient and family teaching.
• Use critical-thinking skills to recognize and respond to emergency situations.
• Promote continuity of care through effective communication and documentation.
• Delegate tasks to available staff according to their ability, competence, and scope of practice.
