About The Position

Seeking a talented registered nurse to join the Float Pool, where nurses may work in various departments. Under general supervision, the Float Pool Nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care required to meet patient needs.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing required.
• BLS certification required.
• Current registered nursing (RN) license or temporary permit from the State of Nebraska required.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• Previous clinical experience in a specific clinical unit preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete patient assessments and communicate findings to providers.
• Document and maintain accurate nursing records.
• Act as a patient advocate among patients, physicians, other healthcare providers, and administration as needed.
• Interact professionally with patients and family members.
• Initiate diagnostic, preventative, and rehabilitative nursing procedures as appropriate to patient care and safety.
• Administer medications in accordance with approved nursing standards and competency, considering the patient's age and clinical condition and physician orders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
