About The Position

The Float Cook prepares special-ordered food items for patients and guests on an as-needed basis. This position is designated safety sensitive under Arkansas Act 593 governing medical marijuana.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent, or a minimum Bronze score on the Career Readiness Certification (CRC), is preferred.
• At least six months of work experience is preferred.
• Communicate effectively orally and in writing, solve problems, and make decisions.
• Stand and walk for up to or exceeding 12 hours per shift.
• Bend, squat, and twist, and frequently lift and move up to 40 pounds using proper body mechanics.
• Multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Handle critical and highly stressful situations efficiently and composedly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare special-ordered food items for patients and guests as needed.
• Respond to equipment alarms such as beepers and timers.
• Read recipes and instruction or procedural manuals.
• Check food quality, including distinguishing between sweet and bitter flavors when needed.
