About The Position

The Cook performs duties related to producing hot and cold food items, baking, and preparing food for hospital patients, staff, visitors, and special functions. The role monitors the quality of food produced and works closely with hot and cold food production to deliver high-quality products daily. The Cook follows standardized recipes and production sheets and ensures food is prepared according to established sanitation and food safety standards. The role maintains standards for cooking methods, procedures, therapeutic diet restrictions, presentation, and portion control.

Requirements

At least one year of food service cooking experience, or a combination of food service experience and a Culinary Degree.
Ability to read and write to comprehend and follow equipment operating instructions and IFUs, and to complete required documentation.
Basic arithmetic skills to count instruments and complete count sheets.
Basic computer skills, problem-solving skills, and good communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Line cook experience with hot food preparation.
Culinary Arts degree.
ServSafe certification.
