About The Position

As a Flex Security Officer – Response with GardaWorld Security Services, you will adapt to assignments that vary by day and special event. Duties may include customer service, patrols, and surveillance. The role serves sites across Silicon Valley, including San Jose, Sunnyvale, Mountain View, Santa Clara, Palo Alto, Fremont, Milpitas, Gilroy, Santa Cruz, Hollister, Salinas, and Monterey. Candidates must be available to work any day of the week and any shift—day, swing, or overnight—as scheduling needs vary. The hourly wage is $19–$28, depending on the site pay rate. Requirements

• Hold a state security license and additional 32-hour BSIS security trainings; additional trainings may be obtained during the hiring process.
• Be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be flexible and available to work any day of the week and any shift, including day, swing, or overnight, as scheduling needs vary.
• Think quickly and adapt to changing situations.
• Have strong responsiveness and problem-solving skills.
• Include an up-to-date security resume.

Nice To Haves

• Preferably be 21 years of age or older.
• Preferably have three or more months of security experience.
• Preferably have an active driver's license.
• Security, military, or law enforcement experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Monitor premises to ensure security.
• Conduct patrols to identify suspicious activity.
• Control access points and verify identities.
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats.
• Provide excellent customer service while maintaining security.
• Write detailed reports on events and incidents.
• Collaborate with authorities during serious situations.
• Help ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.
