About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Flex Security Officer – Response to work at various sites across Silicon Valley, California. The role varies by day and special event and may involve customer service, patrols, surveillance, and responding to incidents. Candidates must be available any day of the week and for day, swing, or overnight shifts as scheduling needs vary. Site locations include San Jose, Sunnyvale, Mountain View, Santa Clara, Palo Alto, Fremont, Milpitas, Gilroy, Santa Cruz, Hollister, Salinas, and Monterey. The position pays $19–$28 per hour, depending on the site pay rate. A uniform is provided at no cost. GardaWorld offers a comprehensive benefits package and career growth opportunities.

Requirements

• Hold a state security license and complete additional 32-hour BSIS security training; additional security training may be obtained during the hiring process.
• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be flexible and available to work any day of the week and any shift (day, swing, or overnight) as scheduling needs vary.
• Include an up-to-date security resume.
• Be able to think quickly and adapt to changing situations.
• Have responsive and strong problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

• Preferably be at least 21 years of age.
• Preferably have more than three months of security experience.
• Preferably have an active driver's license.
• Security, military, or law enforcement experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Monitor premises to ensure security.
• Conduct patrols to spot suspicious activity.
• Control access points and verify identities.
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats.
• Provide excellent customer service while maintaining security.
• Write detailed reports on events and incidents.
• Collaborate with authorities during serious situations.
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.
