About The Position

The Flex Operator contributes to Johnson Matthey’s sustainable technology mission by processing and fabricating precious metals to defined specifications. The role involves setting up and operating production equipment, monitoring performance and adjusting processes to maintain product quality. Operators inspect products, address defects, record material and batch information for traceability, and maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and safety.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Process and fabricate precious metals to defined specifications using approved procedures.
• Set up and operate production equipment, including wire rod mills, bull blocks, and wire drawing machines.
• Monitor equipment performance, change dies, and adjust processes to maintain quality standards.
• Inspect products during production, correct defects, and escalate issues when required.
• Weigh materials and maintain accurate material and batch records to ensure traceability.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while managing waste and scrap materials.
