Flex Operator - All shifts
About The Position
Pete & Gerry’s is hiring a Flex Operator to provide cross-trained coverage across multiple processing roles. Duties vary according to daily operational needs and may include final in-process inspection, staging eggs, setting up machines and date codes, managing carton inventory, and staging cartons for production. The role supports delivery of high-quality products while following animal welfare, health and safety, GMP, and food safety requirements. The position is offered across first, second, and third shifts Monday through Friday, as well as a part-time weekend shift on Saturdays and Sundays. Shifts may last up to 12 hours, and start and end times may vary with truck arrivals, order fulfillment, machine downtime, or production changes. Flexibility to adjust the schedule is required.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Ability to perform fast-paced, repetitive motions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively.
- Ability to walk and stand for 8 or more hours per day.
- Flexibility to adjust the schedule as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide cross-trained coverage for multiple processing roles.
- Perform duties as needed, such as final in-process inspection, staging eggs, machine and date code setup, carton inventory management, and staging cartons for the day’s run.
- Pack egg cartons into cases.
- Load and stack materials onto pallets or equipment.
- Offload materials from equipment.
- Operate processing machinery.
- Stack egg cartons.
- Operate electric and manual pallet jacks.
- Maintain daily and end-of-shift housekeeping.
- Comply with health and safety, GMP, and food safety requirements.
